It was my Grandmother's Birthday a few weeks ago. I would have posted this picture up earlier but i was capped. Well any way i drew this for her.

The chinese down the middle is her name. And moving from the bottom to the top there are lotuses, japanese cranes and then peaches. I made sure to feature 8 peaches and cranes, both signs of long life.

And the dual butterflies represent happiness. This killed my hand, the whole work is actually on an A3 sized and the bloody lotuses have indvidual designs in each petal. The Lotus on the right has images of flowers along with their scientific name.

The designs and flowers alternate as they go. The primary flowers in the cranes neck is Gerberas and Cyrsanthmum, both my Grandmother's favourite flowers.

My hand still twinges when i see it.

Tools: Felt tip 0.3, 0.4 and Calligraphy 2.0
Time: 6 hrs

Anything else?: I want to try painting this for my mother in a few months.
